Οι Ευρωπαίοι που έφυγαν για να πολεμήσουν στο πλευρό του Ισλαμικού Κράτους στο Ιράκ και τη Συρία δεν επέστρεψαν μαζικά στις χώρες τους αφού έχασαν τα προπύργιά τους στις χώρες αυτές, όμως ενέπνευσαν έναν αυξανόμενο αριθμό αυτοσχέδιων επιθέσεων σε ευρωπαϊκό έδαφος, εκτιμά η Europol, ο Οργανισμός της Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης για τη Συνεργασία στον Τομέα της Επιβολής του Νόμου.

Minister of Security of Bosnia and Herzegovina Dragan Mektić assessed that, in the event of an increased migrant's arrival in Bosnia, one of the real options would be to close the borders.
